A guest a few years ago asked if there was anything he could take to increase his circulation? After a little time spent beating around the bush we got to the heart of the question.
He had a growing(or should I say declining) concern, that now being in his early fifties, he was finding his libido and ability to perform were on a steady decline.
I suggested that he starting taking my magic libido shake.
Well, a short time later this guest was back at the retreat. This time he had bought his partner along, so she too could experience a recharging holiday, with delicious food, talks and fun activities. All while being in a tropical rainforest.
When he walked into the gym, he called out "Blair, I've been taking that magic drink you told me about!". My first reaction was, "What drink's that", the special drink, you know! he replied. He gave me a beaming smile and laughed, only then did I realise what he was talking about.
I asked him how it went, and he suggested I ask his partner. At that point he called out to her saying, "Blair is the one who put me on that drink", I wasn't sure what sort of reaction was coming, but she looked at me laughing, raised her finger, pointed at me and said, "You, you were the one responsible, I had to ban it in the house. He became an animal"
Liver has been known for generations to contain some sort of ingredient which has been described as the anti- fatigue factor.
Let me give another example.
36 mice were split into 3 groups of 12.
12 mice were fed 10% of their rations as multivitamins.
12 mice were fed 10% of their rations as a vitamin B-complex
and the last 12 mice were fed 10% of their rations as a desiccated liver powder
The other 90% of the mice diet was the same.
They then put the mice in a barrel of freezing water to measure how long they would swim before giving up.
The mice on the multivitamins averaged 13.4 minutes, the mice on the B-complex averaged 13.7 minutes, and out of the mice on the liver, one swam for 63 minutes, one for 83 minutes, one for 87 minutes and the other 9 were still swimming after 2hrs, at which time they stopped the experiment.
Who knows for how long these mice would have kept swimming, 3hrs, 4hrs, all day??
For those who may find the idea of eating or drinking a liver shake too much to stomach, there are companies out their producing pasture raised liver tablets, powder or capsules.
This is not new, bodybuilders only 50yrs ago were swallowing desiccated liver pills as an adjunct to their hard training, along with a few tablespoons of brewers yeast.
It looks as though some of these old tricks may make a comeback!
